We were all very sad to hear that Melanie has decided to resign her post as Secretary for the Irfon Valley Parish. As a small token of our appreciation for her stirling work over the past years, she was recently presented with an Amazon gift voucher for £30 and a beautiful Autumn bouquet of flowers by Heather Davis. Thank you Melanie for all your hard work and enthusiasm, and that you are continuing to be the Church Warden for Llanfechan Church. ![]() Have you filled in an Electoral Roll Form?

Prayer for the WeekPrayer for the Week - Sunday 17th January
God in heaven, we are sorry for the times when we are cynical and doubt other people. We thank you for the people in the Bible who trusted and followed Jesus. Give us the same courage and strength to follow your Son, and not be shy to tell others about Jesus. This we ask in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Canon Robert Townsend Children, Youth and Families![]() Rainbow Inspired Activities
I can prayer a Rainbow Other activities, links and reading for Children of all ages and Families can be found on our CYF Page Church Mouse in the House![]() Are you displaying a church mouse in your house? In the lead up to Christmas, church mice are appearing in windows across the land.
The church mice are missing everyone so they’ve scurried out of our local churches to be close to people in our communities. These little mice are bringing hope to all those who see them in windows while out exercising. If you would like to display a church mouse in your window head over to the @cyfgreaterbrecon Facebook page and check out the designs. There are five Christmas themed mice to choose from. Print off or download your favourite mouse or you could even design your own! You could display a mouse in every window or create a mouse display in one window. We’d love to see the ‘Church mouse in your house’! You could post a photograph of your mouse display on our social media pages using the hashtag #Churchmouseinthehouse If you’re out and about see if you can spot a church mouse in a house near you. Latest News![]() Although we can’t offer normal Church Services at the moment, our churches still have expenses and overheads to pay. We would be very grateful if you could consider continuing your weekly or monthly Church giving by direct debit? If you can afford to do this, or even pay part of what you might ordinarily give, then please contact the Treasurer for your Benefice or your Church Warden to help you to set up a direct debit. Please don’t worry if you can’t.
